You can climb three peaks at once from the mountain station:
You will reach the Fahrenberg with its memorial chapel shortly after the mountain station.
The mountain inn is just a few minutes’ walk away. From there it is not far to the Martinskopf, which offers you a unique view over the Walchensee and into the Karwendel Alps.
We continue with the short hike to the Herzogstand. Enjoy the wonderful panoramic view from the pavilion: Bavaria is at your feet here, because on particularly clear days you can see almost as far north as Munich. Further east, the view then extends over the Kochelsee and Walchensee lakes until, further south, you have the imposing Alpine chain of the Karwendel in front of you, with the Tyrolean mountain peaks still further in view.
It is not for nothing that the Herzogstand, the Jochberg or the Heimgarten are so popular with many hikers, the hiking routes and panoramas are simply uniquely beautiful.
